Shortly before her thirteenth birthday, shy and withdrawn Tara is sent to stay with her aunt, uncle, and cousin in her parents' hometown of Willow Falls, where she makes friends and becomes involved with an elderly buyer and seller of collectibles, who seems to be trying to give Tara some kind of mysterious message.
This is the third book set in Willow Falls for Mass. It stands independently of the other two, as it is about a different character Tara. The story is fun and has a good message behind it. The portrayal of friendship is very strong, although I don't think the 12 and 13-year old boys are as realistic as I would like (the two boys spend all their free time hanging out with the girls and not really doing boy things). Sweet story with a quest thrown in and a nice twist ending.
