  1. Disappointing, in comparison to her other memorable books. I don't know how much was due to the strange accents of the audio version, but the story was actually hard to finish -- the plot only captured my interest intermittently, and the characters were often annoying. Unfortunate, since I love many of her books (Ella Enchanted, Two Princesses of Bamarre, Dave at Night).
