Just started reading this one tonight. Rhodes is very good at setting scene & creating characters; the book pulls the reader in from the beginning. Hoping that it stays good. It was also chosen as an Al Roker reading group choice. Read about it here: http://today.msnbc.msn.com/id/38572300/ns/today-books/
ReplyDeleteA really enjoyable book; I finished this today and will recommend to readers who like some magic and fantasy as well as a story with struggle and hope. Lanesha is a great protagonist, and the magical elements don't feel forced at all. Good writing.
