352 pgs.
Summary
A teenaged boy encounters one comedic calamity after another when his train strands him in the middle of nowhere, and everything comes down to luck.
I think this is a book for which I am not the ideal reader. I enjoyed it and found it very entertaining but ultimately not distinguished. Is it more teen/Printz Award? Not sure; just felt like a light-hearted book full of coincidences that didn't stay with me as I expect a Newbery contender to.
ReplyDeleteI would agree with the Printz aspect. I enjoyed it but it seemed to be one too many coincidences.
