ReplyDeleteI found this one the weakest of the 3 in the series and was ultimately disappointed. Not a consideration for the Newbery, but even as a stand-alone, I don't think this one stands out.
ReplyDeleteI didnt really get into it until i think....well i cant say right now, because i'd get yelled at for spoilers :) but its good after that it'll be worth it if you keep reading. not as good as some others on the list, so if you dont have a lot of time, dont feel like you HAVE to read it, but you should sometime. because you will like it even if it doesnt win the Newbery.
ReplyDeleteI thought the conclusion to the Hunger Games trilogy felt satisfying, although it was weak. It's no Newbery winner in the making, but still worth reading if you enjoy the series.
