I liked the hidden message, telling more of the story. This book was really goodLydiahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18093399288814511075noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7125075817902350182.post-76091784786909880312011-10-20T14:01:19.126-04:002011-10-20T14:01:19.126-04:00This book was a difficult call for me since I am n...This book was a difficult call for me since I am not a big fan of novels in verse. Yet I overcoming my prejudice and decided I like this one. The verse works well here. I was pleasantly surprised at how much detail Frost included in the short verses. I could see this being seriously considered for Newbery.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7125075817902350182.post-44684009640298337302011-09-18T14:37:25.713-04:002011-09-18T14:37:25.713-04:00Very strong story and heart-rending. At the end of the story, the author explains the poetic form she used which was really cool.lecymayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00753045162881988523noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7125075817902350182.post-51358763157417143652011-09-06T17:32:49.029-04:002011-09-06T17:32:49.029-04:00The poetry format and alternating viewpoints work ...The poetry format and alternating viewpoints work very well in this book. I enjoyed both girls' voices and appreciated seeing the pivotal event from both perspectives. The format, plot twists, and hidden elements make this a quick read.cgplutahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15304686597415688108noreply@blogger.com
