Howe gets the tone exactly right, with a great mixture of humor and serious issues. The mixture of styles of poetry worked seamlessly with the story. Absorbing and affirming story!Annehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02996463286502350418noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7125075817902350182.post-34829741814118026082011-09-12T19:02:52.807-04:002011-09-12T19:02:52.807-04:00This was a terrific read. Really liked her take on her boyfriend, her family, her friends...humor here and poignancy. Entertaining & worthwhile.Athenagirlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03289680178254284075noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7125075817902350182.post-46615062141995902632011-09-11T08:16:53.163-04:002011-09-11T08:16:53.163-04:00I really enjoyed this. At first, I thought Addie was going to be a smart-mouthed, brash, know-it (no comments from the peanut gallery! :) but then other sides of her started emerging. James Howe captured the voice of a 7th grade girl amazingly well. Highly recommend this one.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15682700901945724953noreply@blogger.com
